Threesome Tinder Date

Yes, you read that correctly…No, It’s not fully what you think it is.   I know Tinder started out as a hook-up app but I don’t use it for that.  I’ve heard that it has changed…It’s what you want it to be and maybe one day I’ll find Mr. Right on it.  (ok, I know that’s probably not going to happen…I’m more likely to be hit by lightning than to meet my future husband on Tinder)

My first few days at Misty’s place I told her that I was on Tinder.  She said that she had tried it long ago but hadn’t had any luck….She decided to try it again.   Mid week she matched with a cute guy, they chatted for a bit and he asked her out for Friday night.  We already had plans for Friday night (a special event was happening at the museum that night and she was going to get some girlfriends together to go).   I told her not to worry about me that she should go on the date.  She kept saying she felt bad about leaving me on my first Friday in town.   I suggested that since she was planning to invite friends to join us, why not ask him to invite a few guys and we’d have a big group.   So she did.  And that was the plan.

Friday night arrived…I asked her what the plan was.  No other girlfriends were going to join us, but we needed to leave around 6:30 to be there at 7.   At five minutes to 7, she was finally ready to go.   When we got in the car, she voice-texted him that we were stuck in traffic on the highway and would be late.  (we were sitting in her driveway)    When we arrived he was alone.  His friend wasn’t able to join us after all, it was just the three of us.  The event at the museum was packed, so we went across the street to the park and ordered dinner from the food trucks there and ended up finding a nice place to sit in the park for the next 3+ hours.

It was a fun time…Lots of sharing of stories about life and travels that we had all done.  Finally at 11pm we said good night and got back in Misty’s car to drive home.  We barely got the doors shut and she said that she didn’t like him.  I couldn’t believe it, He seemed like a great guy.  I asked her why and she went on a big long rant about all the things she didn’t like.  After spending almost the whole car ride home defending him against the reasons she didn’t like him, I got the truth out of her…SHE THOUGHT HE LIKED ME! When we got home, she messaged him and gave him my number.   AWKWARD!!   When he wrote back, he said he didn’t go to meet me, but rather her and asked if she wanted to try it again just the two of them.   All of a sudden she liked him and was super excited to go out with him again.    She never heard from him again. (neither did I)
